wow a third Aracnid-verse cover/poster, what is the multiverse coming to
and this happens to introduce 2 more Timmy clones; we’ve already met Kimmy Kurner/Arachnid-Gal and Gary Gurner/Black Arachnid, now meet Tommy Turner/Widower and Poison
Poison and Widower were the first clones created, and thus very highly unstable for various reasons. Poison ended up being highly mutagentic, and mentally cracked; he believed himself to be the real Timmy, but when that illusion was shattered, he went full on psychotic. Widower was much more stable, but the accelerated growth development worked a little too well on him-they ended up creating a 23 year old man instead of a 15 year old; they also failed to “cure” him of his extra limbs. Tommy got implanted with false memories (or his mind just automatically filled in the gaps so he wouldn’t go crazy like Poison), so he believed himself to be Timmy’s older brother for the longest time. (his costume coloration is based upon a Brow Widow spider just fyi)
Kimmy and Gary were second phase clones; they were stable, the arachnid side effects were kept under control, and the accelerated growth process worked out.
of course, Gary turns out to be evil (he too believes he’s the real Timmy, and if he isn’t, he is certain the BEST so she should be the real one) and we know Kimmy cracks eventually too. Poison starts off cracked, so really Tommy is the only one that’s really the most stable, but i think he’s probably the first one to die too. but what’s really nice composition wise if horizontally, we have the two altered (older, female) against the black haired ones as well as the good vs the evil, vertically we have the phase one against the phase two, yet diagonally we have the ones who are as they were first perceived (Poison presented evil, Kimmy presented good) against those who are not as they are first perceived (Tommy thought evil ends good, Gary thought good ends evil)
so yup. Arachnid-verse.
