These are all FAN DESIGN created BEFORE the Meenah walkabout flash. If you look at the submission date to the right, you'll see this was submitted in April of 2012 while the walkabout was published in August of 2012. I KNOW these are not canon, I KNOW that there are canon designs and bios now. These designs are RETIRED as is the blog they went with. I now run a more canon blog Be the Alpha Trolls using the canon Alpha Trolls, ok. STOP pointing it out, I KNOW I'm outdated. But I don't believe in deleting pieces of artwork; this is archival ONLY. Check my blog or my gallery for a wider array of more canon-related work. Thank you.

I referenced this reff sheet by ~zynwolf for colors and styles, as well as various fanarts, and my own ideas for everyone’s designs and wing patterns.

Big thanks to Dee for helping me figure out the boys’ Titles. I was severely stuck at one point, and she helped me figure out how to remix them all properly…even though I ended up repeating “Page of Hope”

It’s not as easy and it seems to remix the titles and make it still make sense you know.

So explanation times!

Lana is the Witch of Time
-I chose this because of the Time manipulation the Handmaid displayed, as well as her ability to manipulate things around her (ie flipping the window’s switch). Yes some of that could have been from Lord English’s influence, granted, but I felt it fit with her Time aspect.

Panos is the Knight of Breath
-Part of why I was stuck was I was stuck making Pan the Heir, but the titles had to shuffled, and I thought Knight fit him well. A Knight “uses their aspect as a weapon to protect others”, and Summoner did lead a rebellion, for the betterment of the people.

Psii is the Bard of Doom
-Well firstly, Bard was one title I had “left over” and I thought it suited Psii more than Kumba. Psii is a bit spacey, so he fits the “silly” idea the Brad gives. But the Bard is also “one who allows things to be destroyed with his aspect”, and I thought Doom was a great destroyer.

Morro is the Heir of Blood
-The Heir is “one who is protected by their aspect”, and I thought that suited him perfectly. Even Doc Scratch said it was probably his mutant blood coloring that allowed the Signless to remember fragments of the Beta verse. And judging my John, the heir can become a leader of sorts, plus it gives Karkat and John that added connection I think too.

Neeki is the Seer of Heart
-I absolutely LOVE this design! I think this is my favorite one on the whole page actually But ok, I picked this because of Nepeta’s shipping wall; she was seeing all the pairings, and the heart is a symbol of love and stuff (even though the aspect is Soul but even that can go to shipping) so I thought that fit perfectly.

Rosa is the Maid of Space
-Well…Maid was an extra title I had a hard time placing, but once I gave it to Rosa, it seemed to suit her. The Dolarosa gave up her life basically to raise the Signless, and the Maid uses her powers to help others. Also, I have Rosa being slightly stuck up, so in this way she has to learn to be more giving of herself.

Redd is the Rogue of Mind
-I couldn’t see Redd as the Maid so she became to Rouge, but again it suits her so well. The Rogue “steals to benefit others”, and Redglare was a Legislator; she used her mind games to trap criminals to better society. So to me, that seems to fit. I love this outfit too ^^

Aranea is the Sylph of Light
-This is canon, but I’ll still explain why I think this works As Mindfang, she left a journal that “showed” the Alpha trolls (ok at least Vriska) what things were really like back in Ancestor-land. She might not have been the healer Aranea is, but she did sympathize with the Signless’ cause in a way, so she could see that their species did need to be healed.

Colt is the Mage Page of Void
-We knew that Darkleer had a Void around him that kept Doc Scratch from finding him, so I had to think of a Title that would work with that. I went with Mage because the idea of the mage is a wizard and Darkleer was a wizard with technology. But the Mage is also “one who knows things about their aspect and are afforded protection by it”, and again I felt that Darkleer displayed that. Simce the update abour Pages having "untapped potential" I debated switching Colt to Page, because I left that really described him. That and it almost feels like the Heir and Page titles can crosssect, since John was an Heir, while Jake is a Page (similarly to how Rose was a Seer, Roxy a Rouge, and Neeki/Nepta and Redd/Terezi follow that too, despite Panos/Tavros not following that...)

Keta is the Prince of Rage
-At first I was going to make him the Knight, but after chatting with Dee I settled on Prince instead. The Prince is not just “one who destroys their aspect” but can also be “one who destroys WITH their aspect” and I feel that the GHB totally used rage as his weapon to obliterate everyone/thing. Also with his highblood status, he is a prince of sorts.

Kumba is the Page Mage of Hope
-Page was the last title I had left over, cause I didn’t think Bard suited Kumba much The Page is similar to the Maid, and Kumba does need to learn to help others. But I don’t think he would; he is more of the opposite, seeing as Dualscar (and Eridan) killed off other trolls’ lusi on a regular basis. They took away Hope. After the update explaining Pages I felt the title suited Colt more than Kumba, and I wasn't very happy repeating "Page of Hope". Though looking at it now, Mage suits him so much better. Mages can twist their aspect to their advantage, and DS's destryoing Hope could fall under that. Also Eri's affinity to magic lends itself back to the Mage's magical origins too.

Meenah is the Thief of Life
-Again, canon, and it’s just so obvious do we really need explanation? The Thief is “one who steals to benefit themselves”, and that’s all what the Condese does, no way around it.

So wallah!! Until Hussie proves me wrong (or right XDD) this is all canon to BtBT
