No one at Monster High ever suspected that Operetta D. Phantom, the musical diva, had once made a killing as a white collared criminal. She would sing to sold out, black tie events, using her hypnotic voice to set the wealthy into a trance while her partners would rob the stupefied blind. But those days were long behind her…or so she’d thought. A dark presence has appeared, a Back Gang, that threatens to upset the halls of Monster High. It will either bring the old songstress back to the life of crime she once saw, or perhaps spurn her into a new life of chivalry. Either way, time to get your listening ears on because C Note is about to play…
Yeah I know the back cover is supposed to be a different character but I did the same because at the time I wasn’t sure if I’d have enough time to finish the other.
So Rika’s super-sona is C Note! Get it, as in the musical note AND the bank bill, because she was a villain.
Well I thought it was clever; everyone admires a hero, but they all love the villain, that’s why anti-heroes are the best of both. Plus Rika isn’t always the easiest person to get along with, and was Ula’s rival with Holt for a spell, so it fit. Plus we get singing and a mask, and a fancy dress…and yeah a gun; she doesn’t have sonic blasts…just hypnotic waves, so she does need some protection.
Design wise, fancy lounge singer. I was inspired by a picture I saw on tumblr, a DC villains mashup set…I can’t recall it, but it was the Harley/Puppet one…so yeah, that was inspiration for her dress. The dress is covered in musical staffs if you couldn’t figure that out…with only C notes…the title also has a staff…and the “o” and hole in the “e” are on the C too…yes, I think I’m very clever with that XD;;;;
But that is my Power Ghouls Rika; a bad girl femfatale. Whoot!
