MH: Don't tell me Tora has regrind??

Ok very literally as I was waiting for my IE to boot up this morning I was looking at my Tora laying on my desk and noticed that her head was the wrong color! Idk if this has always been this way and I just never noticed, but the orange on her head that’s supposed to be the same as her body color is so not the right color! I know from ponys that bright colors, especially oranges, are prone to “regrind” (where the plastic breaks down and you get like neon pink spots) and/or leeching of the vinyl’s dye. I know she’s a multicolored cat so it might be hard to see it at first. And I also know they’ve been bad at matching part coloring lately with the CaMs (upper and lower limbs not matching dye lots), but this is supposed to match and I swear it did once upon a time. And since it’s all even it’s not sun bleaching. And now I’m looking at her more and her hands have it too, it’s much less noticeable because there’s little orange there, but it’s definitely not the right color. This has to be the plastic…

My Tora is marked “Indonesia” and she’s only a little more than 9 months old. Has anyone else had this happen to their Toralei? Is it just cause she’s Indonesia (I know their hair glue is wonky but could the vinyl be too?”

I also can’t help but wonder now if Mattel caught this and that’s why we haven’t had another Toralei doll yet…that’d be nice, shows they care and are trying to fix it then. I’d thought it was cause they were gonna replace her bendy tail. But this makes a lot of sense.
