MH: Helscreams vs Helsingsby *KPenDragon

For anyone who doesn’t follow the MH tumblr, not too long ago the names of the human kids in the GR trailers were revealed, and the evilish blonde in the leopard print is named Lilith van Helscream.

Yes, as in the same van Helscream from Fright On. (Points for connecting the specials animation team!) I guess it’s assumed she’s his daughter, but I could buy niece; either way the resemblance is uncanny. To each other and…to my van Helsings. O.o

I admit last fall when Fright On came out I did think van Helscream resembled my Abe. HOWEVER I didn’t put much stock in it because Helscream was obviously a van Helsing parody, as is my Abe; same source means similar results (are you sick of me saying that yet? XD;; ). But now with this Lilith…I can’t help but notice some similarities to my Vanessa.

I guess visually it’s just the pulled back blonde hair which is totally common I know. But the dynamics; father and daughter monster hunters, blonde in similar hair styles; dads with facial hair, light eye colors, the army greens. The Helscreams look more like big game hunters (some Alan Quartermane thrown in perhaps?) while my Helsings are more modern day hunters (ala Buffy and SPN).

So I guess this is another case of “hu…that’s…familiarly weird…”. I’m not crying theft, as much as I joke about it I doubt I’m even a blip on their radar anyways. It’s just “hu…O.o” that’s all.
