So I had several asks a while back if I was going to do a RftG Robecca. I hadn’t yet because…well…sh wasn’t that thrilling for me so I wasn’t bursting with inspiration XD;; That and I had no idea who should could dance with seeing as I’d already drawn like all the canon chars (yes I know Howleen has no formal *official* picture but you should figure why). But then I heard this song and it sorta clicked; but still who could she be dancing with? Idk how I settled onto Andy but as I was drawing and coloring this the wheels in my head were turning and I actually wrote a little ficlet to this XD;;; I posted it to my tumblr with previews of this to tease you guys, so go here to read it.

I went with a swing style for them seeing as they’re both sorta old fashioned. Yes Robecca is steampunk not 50s, I know. While Andy we had the black and white movie theme so it’s not *really* his time setting either. But hey they both pull it off rather snazily I think. And due to the posing this is the first horizontal RftG picture. Freaky! XDD Also first time drawing Andy, sorry he sucks ^^;

But so see I don’t hate Robecca, I just don’t do much art for her because she doesn’t inspire me much ^^;

my drawing style is very heavily influenced by the works of Butch Hartman yes, but a side by side comparison would prove that my style is not an exact copy

Robecca's toy (the actual one, from Mattel) looks great, and at least a steampunk robot is kind of goth.

Great outfit for Robecca! Oh hey, it's Andy! I miss that guy. He needs to show up again. (though I actually saw him in the GR trailer >>)

thanks! i was worrired doing swing would get yelled at cause she's steampunk, but i went with her color pallet and that cool pattern spo it'd go. so i'm glad it came out good ^^

and it'd eb great to have him! i mean they have the CG model so why not?

lol well yay then! :lol: i tried to at least make them dancing seem plausible with the ficlet, but if it as a ship makes sense too then awesome!

and yes! we need more guys! and he was a decent on ewith potential!

yup that's true too. you can theorize all you want yourself, but sometimes actual interaction is nice to help. that's how my Larma stuff was, i just lucked out that what i thought ended up being close to right XD;;;
