MH: New Scaremester Mikey Mutant

 It’s still 2014, we can still get away with this XD;;

 Everyone remember Makei’s boyfriend right? Well I was offered the chance to formally adopt him, and how could I say no? I’ve always liked his concept and potential, and his sweet nature; that’s why he got to snag Makei after all XDD

 So I wanted to do up some new art for him for a new bio, and get it in before the year ran out Redesign wise, I tried to keep his color scheme because I’ve always liked his neon toxic colors, and I figured throwing some acid washed denim and a band tshirt into it would work perfectly (he’s into Casta’s music yes). I also always loved his fluffy hair so even though that’s sorta hidden by a hoodie, it’s still very fluffy. Also, the on e*major* design change (at least in my opinion) is that I made the whites of his eyes yellowed; idk why, I just thought it added a bit more of an inhuman feel.

 We never got much on his history, aside from a few details. So I’m deciding that he was actually a normal *human* child up until he was like 10; that’s when he and his dad went out fishing on a lake that turned out to be highly contaminated with some toxic spill. Their boat was attacked by a mutant fish. Mikey ended up being under water for a good long time, practically dead, but he was rescued; his dad didn’t survive the mega fish. He was revived in the hospital, but after he was released he got really sick and started to change due to the chemicals absorbing into his systems on a cellular level, and thus he ended up becoming what he is now. His mom tried to help support him as best she could; that’s when they started getting into monster culture a bit. I’m sure he was sent to some monster kids’ summer camp (where he met and made friends with Deuce Gorgon); but while he was away one summer his mom got a new boyfriend, who eventually became his stepdad. His stepdad is far less supportive of monster culture and what not, and even less so that his stepson is gay; I’m sure there’s been said some line about “You’re already a freaky, why do you have to make it worse by being gay” said many times; that’s a big part of why Mikey was in the closet for so long.

 But at this point, he’s been dating Makei for at least a year, if not longer (heehee sliding timeline ) and is much more comfortable with himself than he used to be. His likes aren’t as closely guarded a secret as they used to be, he hangs out more with different people, and…he has Makei’s place to escape to if his stepdad gets on his case too much (though I did imply he lives in the dorms, so maybe his parents live close enough that he’s *supposed* to go home on the weekends, but he doesn’t…). Still afraid of drowning, which makes having a water creature for a boyfriend quite unorthodox, but at least now he’s ok being near the water instead of just running away from it at the first chance he can (though Manny thinks it’s funny to try to push him in the pool -.-)

 So yay! I hope I’ve been true enough to his original character. Like I said, I’ve always liked him, and I am thrilled to be giving him a good home. I just wanted to flesh him out a bit more, since lots of time has passed since his first introduction.
