Mystery Kids: Team Braces

I fell in love with the idea of Mabel and Tootie being BFFs, and being all happy to have a friend with braces cause what kid, let alone girl, wants to have those things? So yeah, action poses with weapons of choice. Mabel with her grappling gun, and Tootie with her double pistols. Tootke’s also a slight variation from how I was drawing her…I’m doing some monkeying around with Wishstuck, so that might’ve influenced her a bit…

I LOVE the way I drew Mabel. She just came out so great; my style really worked for her (thus why I drew her so much on my doodle sheet ).

What I also really liked about this picture was their coloring; it’s almost oppositic. Mabel’s all bright and colorful, a warm pallet, with a light touch of darkness (her gun and shoes) while Toot’s the opposite, in her monochromatic grays/blacks, and with only the light touch of color in her glasses.

They’re totally Team Braces, or the Brace Babes, idk yet XD;;;
