Stamp: Pre-FiM MLP Fan

Let me state off the bat this is not intended to spark any fan wars. This is just my personal…pet peeve I guess. Plus I saw something like this elsewhere, so this is just a stamp version I made.

Anywhos, I do love FiM; it’s a great series and it’s great direction for MLP. It’s wonderful that it’s also gathered so many new fans. However, a lot of these new fans seem to completely ignore the pre-existing fanbase, the collectors, the true customizer artists. I mean, just the comments I saw on the MLP Fair pics on facebook showed that; “there should be more FiM” “not enough FiM” “what’s that stuff? That’s not FiM”. People, that event has been going on for years, there’s more to MLP than just FiM.

So yeah, as an older collector (not that I’m old but that I’ve been collecting longer) I find being labeled as a “brony” offensive. Yes I love FiM, yes I enjoy doing arts for it. But I know better, I know and respect the older fanbase. I am not a “brony”.

That’s all I guess. Again please don’t start a fan war or yelling at me over this. It’s just my personal opinion. No offense to people who call themselves “bronys”, because I know not all of you are the same. I’m just saying don’t label me as such just because I like MLP.
